At First Presbyterian Church, we seek to help children grow in faith and knowledge of the love of Jesus Christ. We hope to nurture within our young people a sense of discipleship and a love of God and neighbor.
Our children’s Sunday School program seeks to introduce young people to the love God share with us through Jesus Christ, and engages them in the story of our faith through age-appropriate Bible lessons, crafts, music and other activities.
Ages 3-4 enjoy hands-on activities and the creative teaching of Bible stories especially suited for their age, in addition to a monthly lesson taught on our mobile computer lab. They meet on the first floor of the Stegall Building.
Kindergarten-2nd Graders use a Bible-based curriculum that teaches children about the love of Jesus and to recognize God at work in their own lives. They also have the opportunity to learn through our mobile computer lab once a month. They meet on the first floor of the Stegall Building.
3rd-5th Graders dig deeper into the lessons of the Bible and are encouraged to bring their own so that they can actively participate in looking up and learning scripture. They also enjoy a monthly lesson on our mobile computer lab. They meet on the second floor of the Stegall Building.
